I am interested in detecting aquatic xenobiotica of natural or anthropogenic origin via GFP tagged endogenously expressed Multi Drug Resistance transporters (MDR) of marine flatworms. I propose to develop a system using engineered aquatic flatworms for the detection of unknown substance classes that are present at very low concentrations.
